Indigenous AIP System Reaches Key Milestone for Indian Navy
India's indigenous Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system achieved a key milestone for the Indian Navy's submarines.
- The Setting to Work Phase-2 of the AIP system Energy Module was inaugurated.
- Naval Materials Research Laboratory (DRDO) indigenously developed the AIP system.
- This system enhances underwater endurance of diesel-electric submarines.
- The inauguration occurred on October 24, 2026, in Hazira, Gujarat.
- The module will be integrated into a Kalvari-class Submarine in early 2027.

World's First Integrated Air Pollution Analysis Lab for Delhi-NCR
The **Ministry of Earth Sciences** inaugurated the world's first **Integrated Atmospheric Chemistry and Aerosol Toxicity Analysis Laboratory (AATAL)** in Delhi-NCR.
- AATAL identifies real-time air pollution sources, going beyond basic AQI numbers.
- It analyzes pollutant composition, sources, relative contributions, and health implications.
- Integrated with IITM’s AIRWISE, it offers 4-day forecasts at 400-meter resolution.
- Established under 'Mission Mausam', it supports CAQM and pollution agencies.
